Challenge

Transforming a dense and historically rich narrative into a compelling, accessible digital experience—all within the constraints of an existing website. We had to integrate large volumes of content without overwhelming users, while maintaining visual originality and thematic sensitivity. Performance and compatibility were critical due to the content-heavy layout and design techniques used.

What we did

Designed a storytelling layout to guide users through the historical narrative.
Developed a modular visual system inspired by vintage posters—using clippings, sketches, photos, and collages—to give each story a unique, textured feel.
Integrated the new section into the existing website using Webflow, incorporating a mix of scroll behaviors, subtle animations, and smooth transitions for a seamless experience.
Optimized large content volumes for fast loading, including heavy use of WebP images and performance-conscious layout strategies.
Adapted blend modes and visual effects for consistency across modern browsers and devices.
