Nova Post App

Nova Post App

Mobile app for the postal and courier company
Nova Post App

Nova Post is Ukraine's largest logistics company. In 2022, amid the full-scale war, the company began expanding into European markets and turned to us to shape the vision for a new international mobile app. Over 2022–2023, the Tubik team redesigned the app around the realities of cross-border shipping and rebuilt the design system for its entire ecosystem of services. The foundation we laid then still guides the product's visual direction today.

Challenge
Distill complex international logistics into a simple, intuitive mobile experience – regardless of country, language, or shipment type. The task was to connect a parcel's physical journey with its digital one, without turning the interface into a warehouse of reports and figures.
What we did
  • Redesigned the mobile app for international use cases
  • Rebuilt and expanded the design system across the entire service ecosystem
  • Introduced Sandy, an animated mascot
  • Created a set of custom illustrations for the product
  • Designed several promotional landing pages and supporting graphics for the product
  • Provided long-term design support for the product

Challenge
iBilly already existed in a different form, and we needed to implement a change of focus and audience retention. We had to think carefully to cater to existing users and take into account their feedback as well as the needs of a new audience.

A UI/UX design collage showcasing Nova Post's market reach and performance metrics. Four white cards with rounded corners display key statistics: "4m+ Active users," "24+ Years on the market," "480m+ Annual parcel traffic," and "37k+ Branches and post offices," alongside an "Operates in 16+ countries" indicator. The data is supported by professional photography of a Nova Post employee, a branded semi-truck on a highway, and a sprawling aerial view of a large-scale logistics terminal hub surrounded by greenery.

Launched back in 2012, the old app became hugely popular — over 10 million downloads and millions of active users. But it was built for local use within Ukraine and wasn't designed to scale internationally.

A UI/UX design collage titled "Samples of old app," showcasing the legacy interface of the Nova Post mobile application. The image features a series of overlapping smartphone screens on a red background, displaying the previous design system's white and red aesthetic. Key legacy screens include the main tracking dashboard, a map-based branch locator, parcel information details, and a user profile page. The typography and layout reflect the app's earlier iteration before the 2024 modern redesign.
A UI/UX design diagram showcasing the primary user flows for the Nova Post mobile application. A central hand-held smartphone mockup displays the "Home Screen" with a parcel inbox. Dotted lines connect this screen to various functional modules, including user authorization, a digital client card with a barcode, parcel management options (like redirect and return), sorting filters, and a 3D scanner for packages. Stylized robot characters guide the viewer through the journey, highlighting a clean, efficient digital design system.
A high-resolution action photograph inside a Nova Post logistics terminal. A worker in grey overalls and a red branded shirt is captured in motion, placing a parcel onto a long, motorized conveyor belt system. The industrial setting features rows of red metal sorting cages and specialized rollers, highlighting the scale and human element behind the company's high-volume parcel processing.
A side-view mockup of a white Nova Post delivery truck parked on a city street, showcasing logistics branding and vehicle wrap design. The truck features a bold red cargo box with the white Nova Post logo and the slogan "DELIVERY OF THE FUTURE" in modern sans-serif typography. The background shows a green European-style apartment building and urban greenery, highlighting the brand's presence in a real-world city environment.
A UI collage for the Nova Post app focusing on branch discovery and profile management. It features a smartphone showing a "Point 950" location in Kyiv on a map, a "Near me" filter for branches and parcel lockers, and a detailed user profile screen. A lifestyle image shows a user at a physical parcel locker terminal.
A UI design showcase of the Nova Post service infrastructure network using high-fidelity 3D isometric icons. Four rounded cards on a black background display key network statistics: "11k+ Branches" featuring a 3D model of a modern post office, "15k+ Parcel lockers" with a 3D red locker terminal, "1k+ Points" showing a branded pickup counter, and a card for a manual hand truck loaded with parcels. The vibrant color palette and 3D assets emphasize a massive, tech-driven logistics ecosystem.
A UI/UX design showcase of the "My profile" screen for the Nova Post mobile app. A smartphone mockup displays a clean, white interface with a user's circular profile photo and organized menu sections for Personal data, Contact details, and Security settings. The layout features green checkmark status indicators for verified information and dedicated sections for managing preferred "Delivery places," including specific options for the user's primary branch, parcel locker, and home address.
A technical UI/UX design collage showcasing the foundational elements of the Nova Post design system. The composition features a detailed parcel tracking card with arrival timelines, a map view with location pins, and a "User Profile" component library detailing text fields, counters, switches, and checkboxes. Accompanying these are a red bar chart for traffic data, custom 3D assets of a hanging scale and a robot mascot lifting a shipping container, all unified by a consistent aesthetic of soft shadows and bold primary red accents.

From the very start, the design system was built with more than the mobile app in mind, extending to the company's other web products and websites — so a single visual language could scale across the brand's entire digital presence.

Sendy is an assistant for communicating with users — guiding people through the shipping process by explaining, prompting, and helping wherever it feels complex. The name comes from the word "send."

A brand identity showcase for Sendy, the Nova Post mascot. The image features a large illustration of the friendly robot character saying, "Let's meet, I'm Sandy," alongside technical design sheets. These include a color palette breakdown (Basic red, Reflections, Screen, Contours, and Shadows), character model sheets showing frontal and side positions, and an isometric scene of Sandy working in a logistics hub with a red forklift and branded parcels.

A custom set of over 300 icons and illustrations extended the design system. A single logic of stroke, angle, and corner radius shapes a cohesive visual identity for the brand across every screen and every product touchpoint.

A professional icon set for the Nova Post digital design system. On the left, a grid of 49 white minimalist line icons is displayed on a bold red background, representing various app functions like tracking, notifications, and settings. On the right, a close-up "computer and mobile" icon is shown on a technical design grid to demonstrate pixel-perfect construction.
A comprehensive 3D design system for the Nova Post mobile app. The image features a large 3D composition on the right showing a smartphone displaying the app's tracking interface, surrounded by stylized 3D objects like a coffee cup, headphones, tires, and gift boxes. On the left, smaller panels showcase a 3D red forklift moving branded boxes, a kettle inside a parcel, and a grid of eighteen custom 3D icons representing various logistics services like secure storage, barcode scanning, and parcel lockers. The color palette uses soft pastels with bold red accents.
A showcase of the Nova Post mobile application in dark mode. Five smartphone screens demonstrate the dark theme UI, including a parcel search inbox, a "New parcel" creation flow, an interactive branch map for a Warsaw location, detailed route tracking, and a user profile page for "Dmytro Shevchenko" with a clean menu for payments, promo codes, and settings.
